However, as the trio goes up each floor, more and more of their memories are lost. Sora, Donald, and Goofy travel to the Castle Oblivion in hopes of finding Riku and King Mickey. Sora promises to find her as well as the lost Riku and King Mickey. With the final fight over, the worlds are restored but it results in a separation between Sora and Kairi. Sora, Donald, and Goofy seal the Final Keyhole before traveling to the End of the World to finally defeat Ansem for good. Kairi is able to restore him to his human form after becoming a Heartless. This causes him to become a Heartless and create his Nobody Roxas and Kairi's Nobody Namine. Sora then uses the Keyblade of People's Hearts to remove both of their hearts from his body. Her heart actually went to be with Sora's heart. It turns out that Kairi's heart was lost in the storm on Destiny Island and she is actually one of the 7 Princesses of Heart. The two fight again with Sora winning once again. Sora and his pals go on to fight Maleficent, both in her normal form and as a dragon, and defeats her both times.ĭeeper in Hollow Bastion, Sora meets Riku once more who announces himself as Ansem. Sora searches for his friends Riku and Kairi in his travels, but is unsuccessful for a long time. The three of them end up eventually traveling together. His journey takes him to Traverse Town, where he meets Donald and Goofy, who are looking for an important "key" and Leon. In Birth by Sleep, Sora is seen hanging around Destiny Island, playing with his best friend Riku. This, in turn, creates a connection between the two, resulting in Vanitas resembling Sora and allowing for later events to transpire. Just before Birth by Sleep, Sora's heart and the heart of Birth by Sleep protagonist Ventus encounter one another and Sora is able to heal his heart. Sora is only four years old at the time of this game, taking place a decade before the events of the original Kingdom Hearts.
